Jeannette Lambermonte-Morey:
"40 years ago I was 12 years old. We lived in Beaconsfield, Quebec and I had just graduated from grade seven (which meant that I was going to "high school" in September). My grandparents were visiting from Holland, and my grandfather was absolutely fascinated by the moon walk. I have a vivid picture of him glued to the TV! Thanks for bringing those fantastic memories back for me..."
Melissa Campbell:
"In the Maritimes with the family. All seven of us Campbells huddled around our friend's television set in a two-room cottage on the North River, PEI. We have a Polaroid of us, to mark the event. My mum, Elaine, was always up on current affairs and cultural events, making sure we all knew the importance of what we were witnessing. This was fine, as long as snacks were provided."
Ellen Henry:
"I was at my first sleepaway camp near Collingwood. July 20 was parent visiting day and I remember being pissed that my parents were more interested in watching the moon landing on this tiny tv in the lodge rather than touring the camp with me. I didn't get what all th fuss was about. It was all about me, don't you know??"
Frances 'Bernard' Cormier:
"I was in Mississaga watching it on my first color T V ,with my family."
